I almost lost an uncle on 9/11.

Barbara Starr's birthday is 9/11 and her story didn't make me feel any better.

1. I can understand how you feel.
My second son's 21st birthday was in 2001, what happened on 9/11 ruined that, and this year he will be 31 and nothing is better -- still no prosecution of the war criminals and the truth really not told. All those people died for political gain, and it makes me sick.

2. I hear you!
My Dad would have been 98 years old on 9.11.2011 and his memory deserves a WHOLE lot more truth than we've been told in the last ten years!

3. My Dad will be 85 on 09/11/11
and being as he was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer back in February of this year, we're all glad to have him around for his birthday this year, no matter what else happened on that date.

4. I don't believe that. That's like when a weatherman is named stormy...
sunny or some shit. That woman changed her birthday.

OK, I don't know how you'd do that, but I bet its possible.

5. We were married on 9/11/71. Tomorrow is our 40th. I remember from that time
the terrible events at Attica being a grim undercurrent of what was otherwise a totally happy time. It doesn't spoil the memory, but reminds me always of how incomprehensible the world is. One's own happiness is happening while others are suffering, and of course vice versa.
