ALEC sends out how to booklets to State Legislators to take down "Obamacare"
http://www.alec.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=The_State_Legislators_Guide_to_Repealing_ObamaCare&Template=%2FCM%2FHTMLDisplay.cfm&ContentID=15113

Wanted to get this posted here before ALEC realizes it went public and they try to take it down.

he State Legislators Guide to Repealing ObamaCare

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as “ObamaCare,” is truly an unprecedented piece of federal legislation. Unfortunately for states, the precedent it sets is a bad one—one that will result in overburdened Medicaid programs, higher taxes, an unconstitutional requirement that individuals purchase health insurance, and a federal takeover of health insurance regulation.

As a state legislator, you know that any health reform legislation should mirror the Hippocratic Oath that guides the practice of medicine—“First, do no harm.” The best health care is patient- and market-driven, not government-driven—and ObamaCare embodies neither of these qualities.

The State Legislators Guide to Repealing ObamaCare will be an essential tool as you look to halt ObamaCare’s harmful effects and implement real healthcare reform that is both market-oriented and patient-centered.

Now is the time to act. If you would like more information about the issues discussed in this guide, or any technical assistance on health reform activities, contact Christie Herrera, ALEC’s Health and Human Services Task Force Director, at (202) 466-3800 or at christie@alec.org.

3. Sent them an e-mail and told them they are being un-American.
I explained that at least someone has attempted at creating a path for American's to be able to access Doctors and afford it at the same time. I told them I really support a Medicare for All type of system, but in the current arena of bought politicians, there was no feasible way forward with that most supported by all American's solution. AND I said, if more American's can access Doctors throughout their entire life, major medical issues can be addressed before they become a major, costly issue like diabetes or heart disease. Eventually, it will decrease the over all costs because American's can see a Dr and be monitored year after year and address the health issues, such as rising cholesterol or high blood pressure, before it becomes necessary for costly medical care or costly drug regimens... Telling someone at the beginning of an increasing cholesterol to modify their diet and increase physical activity is going to cost less than waiting for the moment someone has an actual heart attack or does develop diabetes. Catching cancer early is cheaper to treat and recovery is more likely.
