They are talking golf????Golf????? The worst financial crisis in
decades, millions of people out of work, homes being foreclosed and these two bozos, Biden and Boenher, are talking golf as the President of the United States is about to address the American people on this mess? Sorry folks, I don't give Biden a pass on this...he should have shut that bastard down, open mike or not, he should have shut him down. The press is talking this up as if it's such a good sign that these two guys are able to get along...well I'm not impressed. This little exchange, especially on the part of Boner, is the height of arrogance and evidence to me that Boner and his party care more about their golf score and country club than they do about the vast majority of the American people. It also says to me that even democrats like Biden are willing to play along with this shit. If Joe Biden had a pair of balls, he would have taken that leathery shithead by the sholder and said, "You know, John, I'd love to hear about your precious golf game at another time...maybe when this country is in a little better shape."

I'm sorry if I have offended anyone with this but...really! Really??? Golf at a time like this?

4. Not on the podium of the Congress of the United States as the
suffering people of this country are about to hear from their President. Sorry...the "visuals" and audios stink.

8. Why not?
Should they have started arguing? Silliness, they should appear cordial while waiting for the President to come up and make his address.

11. Do you think they might have had a teeny weeny conversation about
how the two sides of the aisle could get together on this pesky jobs thing? Just maybe a little discussion on that?

15. At that time and place? No
Have you never had to do negotiations?

Your boss is about to give a big presentation and you start a different set of talks right then and there? Simply stupid. You keep things friendly and let the big guy do his thing.

3. I guess you'd be very surprised...
At the very important deals that go down on golf courses around the world every day. Some people learn to play the game specifically for the deals, that's just how important they are... even if they hate the game.

9. Wow, I guess so! I had no idea that people here would condone
that or try to justify it. To me, it was disgusting and I am no stranger to "making deals" on golf courses...I've never made a deal with the devil on a golf course, though so flame away...it's giving me a new insight into some of the folks here on DU.

16. Actually you are missing the REAL point
of how buddy buddy they really are and that the "fight" is for show. Politicians are really all on the same side, it's the rest of us that are on the other side.

17. OMFG. Ridiculous. THIS IS WHAT HUMAN BEINGS DO TO PASS TIME!
Are you seriously telling me that you don't think Boehner and Biden have had tons of conversations about the economic issues after all the endless meetings during the debt ceiling thing? Are you telling me you seriously think they won't be spending plenty of time talking about it in the future?

You are damn right you aren't giving Biden a pass, because there is no pass that is yours to give. He doesn't need a pass. He did nothing wrong. There is absolutely not one thing wrong with him and Boehner making some NORMAL ASS SMALLTALK while waiting for the speech to start. What the hell is wrong with with you?

18. Biden tried to talk work/jobs...Boner took over with his
golf talk. You didn't think the orange man cares about his job do you? No, his golf game is his speed.
