Reince Priebus Thinks America is Ready for an 'Adult Conversation' on Entitlements
http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/heather/reince-priebus-thinks-america-ready-adult-c

MSNBC's Chuck Todd spoke to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus about this week's GOP debate and asked Priebus if he was concerned at all on whether Mitt Romney's arguments against Rick Perry during that debate on Social Security might not work given the fact that now Republican Sen. Ron Johnson who beat Russ Feingold in Wisconsin called Social Security a "Ponzi scheme" as well and won.

As Chuck Todd pointed out, the conventional wisdom that Perry's rhetoric is going to turn off voters in the Republican base might very well be wrong, and Todd asked Priebus if that was what he learned after watching the race between Johnson and Feingold.

Priebus responded by saying that "people understand that the government is making promises it can't keep" and asked if we can "be adults" and admit that and said the second question is what we are going to do to solve it. He then went on to praise Paul Ryan's and the House Republican's plan to privatize Medicar

2. Let's start by discussing greedy CEOs who feel they are entitled to
taxpayer bailouts, tax cuts and obscene pay.

3. Well Mr. Priebus....
This adults conversation would start with, "KEEP YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF OF SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE!"

Kumbaya, baby! The $2.6 trillion (and growing) trust fund is so gi-normous that there's plenty of stolen cash for both sides.

5. my adult conversation says that all tea party people complaining
about government should not receive any entitlements...and the 83 yo jackass women who said that 65 is too young to receive benefits after she's received them for 18 years should be forced to pay hers back

8. Yeah, but is HE?
The first thing he needs to do is stop using that silly word "entitlements."

The second thing he needs to do is read up on what insurance is.

The third thing he needs to do is read the history of pensions and social security and just why social security was deemed necessary.

Then he could stand to talk to a few social security recipients, mostly women, to find out why it's still necessary.

Then he needs to change parties because his nitwit party is only interested in beggaring all of us to fatten a few rich guys.

11. Entitlements ..
is their favorite buzz word. Throughout the debt ceiling debate and every other debate or interview they say it over and over.

9. He's figured out that Perry is going to be the Rethug nominee
And since Perry is not backing away from his former comments (how can he, really?) then the sell job on the older folks needs to start sooner rather than later.

It's a compelling case, most of my co-workers that I've talked to who are under the age of 40 don't think that Social Security will be there for them when they retire. Of course, the President's saying, "Here, have half of your FICA back now, you're gonna need to put it into that 401K," is feeding into that feeling, as well.

10. ...Let the corporate money sluts like him tell you to prioritize deficit reduction

in the middle of a recession, LOL. This is so "grown up" as I'm sure he'd say simply because Harding, Coolidge and Hoover proved it doesn't help--if not Cameron--but that's such ancient history that he can't remember the truth. Supposedly. The actual "adult" part is that 70% of the Americans don't want it, but he doesn't feel that dilettantes like him need to listen to them.

This dude is such a phony, to quote Tim Russert. He interned for the NAACP legal defense fund in Los Angeles when he was in law school.
