16. LOL!
A quasi-corollary:

Two thing you need to know about useful idiots:

1. They're useful.

And...

2. They're idiots.

19. Ain't that the truth?
Check out this crowd scene in New Hampshire last weekend with Sharon Angle and the Grifter herself as the main speakers:

Hope nobody was injured in the stampede.

26. In both instances, I will again note the reason for low attendance:
No PortaPotties. You can't have a good Teabagger Turnout without PortaPotties.:hurts:

Bachmann would have been better served by having one on each side, flanking her. She might have experienced some distraction, what with the lines and what not, but I doubt anyone else would have noticed any difference.

In New Hampshire, there MIGHT be a couple in the background when the photographer panned around, but they looked more like souvenir stands to me. Or maybe they were dual-purpose, but then I shudder to think what these people might consider souvenirs of their experience.

6. Notice the photographer at the back of the room?

He's shooting from far away, with a long lens, zoomed-in tight, to compress the apparent distance, to give the false impression that she's speaking to a crowded room.

If he were trying to capture all those empty chairs, to give an accurate impression of the room, he would have been off to one side or the other, like the person who took this photograph.

And if he just wanted a photo of Bachmann speaking, he could have done that from the first or third row.

13. He must be on the Koch brothers payroll.
You'd think with all the money they're giving her, they could afford to put some butts in the seats. But I guess a disingenuous photo zoom is more economical.

On edit: CBS must have been in a charitable mood. They report "about 15 journalists attended".

I'd link but it was bad enough following the picture to the site. It does note that Bachman didn't actually make it to the speech, so she probably had her usual bag of negative nonsense written for her on the way, by others who didn't listen to the speech either.

wanted to be there. How big of a screw-up do you have to be to get the "follow Michele Bachmann" beat? Of course, if they're reporters from Fox or Drudge or some other far-right shyte-catapult, then following Michele must be a reward of some kind - what kind I can't imagine.
