No billionaire has ever employed me.
So the Republican reaction is already out and it will shock no-one. They are calling the jobs plan offered by the President more of the same "big spending proposals and job-crushing tax hikes".

How they lie with a straight face amazes me. It must be taught to Conservatives at University.

Republicans were able to spin that the Recovery Act was a massive tax and spend scheme, despite providing the largest tax cut in history to lower income brackets. There's the rub. The poorest (the bottom 98%) do not count. The richest were simply not satisfied with their Shrub tax cuts they want more.

They do not even try logic now.

Massive Tax cuts for the very richest 1%. "No need to pay for". That goes to "job creators".

A "jobs plan" with tax cuts for employees and employers (actual job creators??) those are "big spending proposals and job-crushing tax hikes".

Well to their argument that no poor person that has ever employed someone, I'd remind them of this little nugget. No billionaire has ever employed me. I have been employed by Companies who may have a billionaire founder or major shareholder, I was however never employed by that shareholder. In fact, the person employing me maybe makes a few thousand more than me and they can hardly be called rich. The reality is very few people, with the exception of Private Personal Assistants are employed by billionaires.

A good business knows "wealth creation" is all of us,customers, staff, shareholders and investors, not just one billionaire. The GOP should remember that.

1. Nope, me neither.
But I've helped a couple of people become millionaires.

Seriously, we need to tax the shit out of the billionaires, stop the wars, close many if not most of our military bases around the world, and regulate the fuck out of the banking industry. Problem solved. Frankly, I think anything else is simply bullshit...

3. I've worked for several billionaires...
They were very smart about business, that's why they were billionaires. They were smart about hiring too... rule number one: only hire when it's justified by an increase in demand for your goods or services. Simple, really.

Not all billionaires are greedy fucks. Many give a lot back. Most I know give far more than my yearly salary to help those in need. I can't argue with that.

Broad brush attacks do no one any good.

4. I can already anticipate that nightmare.
I hope whistle blower protections tighten up because it's going to turn into an abusive situation.
