Where are all the terrorists wanting to attack us? I honestly want to know.
Where are the people who want to destroy our way of life? Who are ready to attack the USA?

How many Americans have died on USA soil by foreign terrorists since 9/11?

I honestly do not think the people who want to destroy our way of life can find 50 people willing to do anything in this country. And the ones they do find are dumb as rocks.

Fort Hood killed 10 and wounded 30. Not sure it was a terrorist attack but lets say it was. Time Square bombing did nothing. Austin plane crash killed one and seriously hurt two others, still no foreign terrorist. Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting, one dead. Not a foreign terrorist. Abdulhakim Muhammed shot one soldier outside a military recruiting center. Underwear bomber....nothing. Shoe bomber....nothing. Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial march pipe bomb...Nothing.

How many US Soldiers have died in Iraq and Afghanistan protecting our country from the terror threat? Thousands.

If they are just waiting to attack us they why don't they? Guns are so easy to obtain in this country illegally. If a terrorist did a Jared Loughner type shooting once a week at a college BB game parking lot or pro football game tailgate or on Wall Street this country would freak out. It would only take 50 terrorists to do one a week for a whole year. It would be front page news all year and kill maybe 10 - 20 a week. But it has not happened. Why?

I do not honestly think they are any terrorists wanting to do it or really have the drive to do it or just don't want to risk getting caught in the USA.

So we get body scanned and have 90 year old people getting patted down and felt up.

So we lose more US soldiers life's monthly than have died in total by terror attacks in the USA since 9/11!

Hell, handguns murder 10,000 a year in this country. But you do not really hear much about that or much panic about that.

I guess I am not sure it is worth it all the hype.

5. They are doing exactly what they intended...
helping to destroy our economy. America is predictably bellicose under Republican administrations. Yet, they're historically amnesiac. You can't defeat tribal societies by dropping a couple bombs and bailing. Jeez, the flippin' Spanish learned that when it took 200 years to conquer Mayan villages in the Guatemalan jungles.
We invade Afghanistan, thinking it'll be a quick action because our government is remarkably short-sighted and has very little historical sense.

It's not only about death by fire. Economic death is slow and painful.

9. He said boo...
and we jumped. Every time. I stopped being afraid a few years ago, when I started flying a lot. I realized I could die on the way to the airport, or while out on my bike on a training ride (and almost did, once). I'm not going to let some asshole terrorist OR media outlet determine how I live each day.
Now, the security thing sucks, because if you don't comply, you go to jail. I have never been one of those "I'll never fly again, screw the TSA folks." It's simply not feasible in my life.

17. Walt Kelly's Pogo had the right of it. way back then
"We have met the enemy and he is us."

All this fear has changed us as a country. You ask where these terrorist are? They're living in our mirrors across the country, and they're telling us to live in fear of a remote possibility.

Magnitudes greater in threat.

I don't know. It's like spooking a herd of animals. It's just a carnival mentality. That's what we need to grow out of. I guess it's all about education.

29. Here ya go - a nice fat list. After 9-11 is about halfway down the page
http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/publications/terror-from-the-right">The Southern Poverty Law Center's list of right-wing terrorist actions.

Not what you were looking for? No, it's not what anyone else is looking for either. Local cops all over the country keep running across this stuff while doing their jobs.

I don't know why we're not looking. Maybe they're not brown enough. Maybe they don't own enough oil.

30. They discovered in the aftermath of 9/11 that they didn't need
to do anything more. The US responded by creating more terror in the form of color coded crap and draconian restrictions on personal liberty. Witness the number of people who submit sheeplike to nudie scanners at the airport, gladly surrendering their 4th amendment rights to a bunch of high-school dropouts wearing shiny badges. It's tragic.
