Styx Blue Collar Man

"Give me a job give me security
Give me a chance to survive
I'm just a poor soul in the unemployment line
My God I'm hardly alive
My mother 'n father, my wife and my friends
You've seen them laugh in my face
But I've got the power and I've got the will
I'm not a charity case"

Sad commentary that this song was released in 1978

1. Love that song
Even more poignant today. And it's got one of the greatest guitar solos ever IMO. :headbang:

2. Agree on all points.
The guitar tone in that song is one I worked hard to replicate.

5. it's a big brash tone
without a doubt. not sure what all was in the chain, but a Les Paul and a hot rodded 50w Marshall got me pretty close ;)
