A(nother) Awesome FB Status...
If you purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today! If you purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG, you would have $33.00. If you purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers, you would have $0.00 today. But, if you purchased $1,000 worth of beer, drank it all, turned in the cans for recycling, you would have $214.00. So, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. ;)

5. you are not wrong
I just turned in 100 cans, just to find out what the price per can was. It was 3 pounds, for which I got $1.65 or .017 per can. And five or six years ago, they were only paying 25 or 30 cents a pound.

They pay a nickel more if you bring in over 100 pounds. So twice I have saved up that much. It actually has paid too, because while I was accumulating the 100 pounds the price went up, so I not only got the extra 5 cents a pound, but an extra 10-15 cents a pound because of the increased price.

So I figure that $1,000 worth of pop at $3 a twelve pack (which is not always a price you can get, but not the cheapest price either) would net $68. And I think beer, which I never buy, is more expensive than pop.

7. If you bought one share of Apple last year for $262, you'd
have $380+ today.

If you bought one Microsoft share one years ago at $25 you'd now have $26.

If you bought one share of Dell at $24.48, you'd have $24.49 today.

If you bought one share of HP (HPQ) for $38.81, you'd now have $24.14.

Of course the market is open, so there might be some movement of all these stock.
