I had this vision of a website that would track right-wing memes when they appeared in three or more sources. Of course, since there is such an echo chamber on AM radio, every ham-headed thing would probably qualify. I was envisioning something like Snopes aimed specifically at the right-wing press.
I heard someone asking "Why no looting in Joplin but looting in Katrina?" When I pointed out help and every police officer in 200 miles was in Joplin in just minutes to hours after they countered, "Well what about Japan? I didn't see anyone carrying TVs after Japan. Why are Japanese so much more civilized than blacks." BIG SIGH I didn't even bother explaining about the difference in coverage, the difference in labeling looters and scavengers, or the obvious fault the Chinese would find with his logic.
I looked online and found a dozen websites repeating this nonsense.
Does anyone know of site collecting right-wing memes?
I thought of David CBrock's book, and I know he worked with a nonprofit checking accuracy ten years ago.
