So it looks like Fox News has their own kinda version of The View these days called The Five — and I gotta say, the show is pretty friggin’ bad, not to mention offensive. Anyway, during a recent discussion on who should pay for dinner (compelling stuff, I know) Andrea Tantaros decided to take it upon herself to pull out every feminist stereotype in the book:

What does it say about America when women can earn credibility by parroting sexist viewpoints and most people are STILL tolerant of sexism? Maybe when I'm an old man (I'm 20 right now) this kind of talk will become a skeleton in the closet like calling black people the N-word.

6. What a weird strawman argument. Women today behave differently

than women of previous generations because that's how society as a whole progresses and changes, not because women are individually choosing to behave a certain way to show men up, dominate men, etc. I'm sure that 20 years from now, some anti-woman character will be chastising females in Saudi Arabia, and blaming them for all sorts of shit, for wanting to DRIVE. (Edit to add: or was that Kuwait? Oh well.)

And it doesn't sound like it will be on for very long (cf. Fox's Half Hour Comedy Hour or whatever their in-your-face answer to The Daily Show was for a month). But how old is Ms. Tantaros? If she's older than 12 or less than 72, the phrase "they're not getting you-know-what" would disqualify her as anyone to be listened to in my world. I realize you have to keep it clean for television, but "getting you-know-what"?! Sheesh!

Not long ago, some companies had policies that no married women could work, so that more jobs were available for men.
