2. Ten years later I still sit and wonder why...
anybody in his or her right mind actually believed the "experts" who insisted that there was no danger from the burning rubble.

HELLO?????

Plastics and rubber and god knows what kinds of chemicals burning and smouldering for days and weeks. And nobody thought it would be hazardous.

OK, some people might have gone in anyway, even knowing what the risks could be. But so many others believed the liars telling them it was "safe". And the poor search and rescue dogs...what choice did they have?

As far as I'm concerned, the people who lied about the "safety" of the site were no better than the people who caused the rubble in the first place.

3. "people who lied," weren't they the ones "who caused the rubble?"
and just what was it that sent tiny body parts onto the roofs of near by buildings?

and no investigations were allowed, isn't that 'cover-up?'

5. I was there, and I can tell you that it smelled like
burning plastic, spoiled roast pork, and chemical fumes stuff that made you gag. I don't know anyone who believed that the air was safe to breath.

The problem was, we had no choice.

If you lived in Brooklyn or Staten Island, how were we supposed to get to work without crossing through lower Manhattan? We had no choice but to go though lower Manhattan every day.

How could anyone avoid toxic dust and fumes in the air when the wind was visibly blowing it everywhere from Staten island to Queens, and you could smell it anywhere in the city, and in large parts of New Jersey? If we could still smell it, we were still breathing it. Were were still smelling it for a month.

How do you avoid the dust when you have to help friends clean the remains of it out of their apartment, out of their furniture, off of everything they own? Wearing a mask only helps so much. Some of it always seemed to get through the mask.

I agree with you. The people who lied about the safety of the air at ground zero are little better than the terrorists. They've probably caused almost as many deaths, and far more long-term suffering from health problems.

That whole area should have been quarantined for miles around, and should have stayed that way for weeks.

...and did nothing about his Saudi cronies who were behind 9/11 -- almost all the terrorists where Saudis. But instead started up PROFITABLE (R) and NEEDLESS, IRRELEVANT diversionary Oil-Profits Crusades in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Pitiful (R)
