6. It is a mutual thought.
These talking blowhards make millions to tell everyone that makes over $10 an hour that they make too much.

It's pushing to corporate meme to create a permanent serfdom and/or lower class. The talking heads will convince the dittoheads to AGAIN vote against their best interests.

21. AFTRA Pretty Much Sucks
Edited on Wed Sep-07-11 09:01 AM by NashVegas
More than anything, AFTRA is a retirement savings plan. AFTRA never did a single thing to fight anything that eliminated radio jobs. TV hosts know AFTRA won't fight for them, either.

Merging with AFTRA is the stupidest thing SAG ever did or will ever do.

10. Corporations make billions, people not so much!
There was not a drop of corporate blood spilled to build this nation and yet these fools say, they think that corporate profits are more deserving than fair reward for workers who make the products that the corps sell. It is amazing to me, management and capital is entitled to THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF PROFIT THAT CAN BE GOUGED OUT OF THE PUBLIC, but workers are just serfs making money for the boss. In america, the risk of producing products belong to the workers in the factory as well as management and capital. It is just incredible to me, that these privileged ones who get paid large for their services, don't think others should get a fair compensation for services rendered. They are snobs and arrogant elitists. They are ignorant.

14. This is interesting coming from him. Barnicle
He has always been a strong supporter of fire fighters and police. I guess he forgot they are union workers. I'd like him to single out them as union workers he thinks are overpaid. He'd be toast.

15. Union workers bashing union workers.. Tell me it ain't so, Joe..
Nobody twisted these elite bloviating pusbags arms to join a union, it was an opportunity they took advantage of, an opportunity the great majority of us never get.

I honestly can't come up with adequately contemptuous language to express how I feel.

29. well don't forget Ronnie was in the SAG and was head of the union
And, he loved destroying unions for his corporate friends. What I see is corporate media, that's pro-business media, pitting the plebes against each other, especially if someone actually has a decent job with benefits. I mean in today's america, it appears, to be very american to work two or three low paying sucky, no benefits jobs to make ends meet. That's the new american way, and anyone who actually has a great job is the enemy. Not the slave driving, cheap corporations, no the enemy is those who still have a decent job. And, heaven forbid if you mention anything about safe working conditions, especially mining. I mean those greedy businessmen have to make a profit at all cost even if it means a few lives lost or contaminating the water or soil.

31. Which union workers? There are all kinds of unions & union workers, making
various wages with various compensation packages & benefits. There are service workers, steel workers, govt union workers, firefighters, police officers, Conoco union workers, BP union workers....which union workers was he talking about? Just globally ALL union workers? Even though Barnacle can't possibly know the wages and full compensation packages from all those union workers?
