NAACP county branch in Ohio criticizes "You Mad Bro?" sign at high school as racial intimidation
WJW: "Sign Ignites Controversy After High School Football Game": (found via retort):

PAINESVILLE, Ohio—
Kirtland crushed Painesville Harvey during Friday night's high school football game, but it was what happened after the game that has people talking.

"At the conclusion of the game, some of their students and parents put up a sign that we believe was racial intimidation, ethnic intimidation," said Roderick Coffee, president of the Lake County chapter of the NAACP, who was also at the game.

"For them to put it up there that was bad sportsmanship, too," Painesville Harvey football player, Jerome Becks said.

The big sign read: 'You Mad Bro.'

While I respect the NAACP, I guess that Rod Coffee doesn't get the way the kids are talking these days. Normally I consider "lighten up" a reaction from brain-dead Fox News/Limbaugh-loving fools who react "racist" to the presence of "Colored" in the NAACP name and who buy that political correctness BS, but this is a rare instance I'd defend such an attitude. Feel free to attack the idea if you have any evidence otherwise. IMO, "politically correct" is an insult and usually a defense of racism/bigotry, but it's ironic how sometimes it's a good thing to be PC.

2. Internet is serious business
You bring internet memes into real life and the consequences will never be the same.

3. It's rude and not a good sport thing to do.
But racist?

That's got me stumped.

Don't kids pretty much all call each other Bro?
