Romney is channelling his Inner Reagan
Using Reagan's words, Reagan's phrasing, Reagan's tone of voice, Reagan's attitude, Reagan's philosophy, Reagan's "teaching" style of speaking.

With my eyes closed, I could swear I'm listening to a reincarnation of Ronald Reagan.

1. We need to lower taxes so jobs don't leave. This guy is so utterly full of shit.
He also made some snarky comment about not using a teleprompter at the beginning of his speech.

2. He's pretty good. This is the first time I've actually watched
him at any length. I could see a bunch of people buying this shit.

"Middle class Americans should be the best paid workers in the world!".

Can't happen, Mitt, if you buy out their companies and send the jobs overseas. Asshole.

6. But his solution for the middle class is to eliminate taxes on savings, dividends, and investments!
Edited on Tue Sep-06-11 03:03 PM by Parker CA
Does he realize that many middle and lower income classes have NO savings, investments, or dividends?? This guy is utterly detached from reality.

The GOP sheep will blindly applaud this crap.

9. Oh, I understand he's full of it. My point was those who don't
follow this stuff will likely fall for it.

And not having any money hasn't stopped a lot of people from voting Republican in the past.

3. He doesn't have his own identity, so he morphs into the identity of the week.

4. Yep, he even started with the Reagan "shining city on the hill"
analogy. I will say, I think if Romney could make it through the GOP primary ( I don't believe he can)he would give Obama a run for his money.

5. But Reagan didn't strap his Irish Setter to the roof of
his car in a dog kennel and drive the dog 500 + miles.

7. I don't hear Reagan....
I hear a hyper-political speech about lowering the corporate tax rate to 25% from the present 35%. However, 90% or more do not pay 35% - they actually pay closer to 25% or less, in some cases. His argument for cutting corporate taxes is a farce.

Then he wants businesses that are overseas be able to bring their money back home to America and not have to pay taxes on it, repatriation, he called it. He said rather than spending their money overseas, they should be able to bring it back to America. I detect a little self-interest and shady deception in that proposal.

8. Romney is an ASS
the America he describes is what we HAD..before he and his vampire friends started dismantling "biddnesses" in the 80's & 90's. Those vulture capitalists who gleefully bought & sold businesses , laid people off & then sold off the pieces, are largely to blame for the sistuation we have now..
