The most beautiful thing I've ever seen
Edited on Tue Sep-06-11 02:59 PM by ThomWV
Ten or fifteen years ago I went fishing with some guys down at Hatteras in the slop of March. We were there for about a week, and we got blown out every day but one. On the day we got out it was dark and overcast, cold rain fell lightly all day, and the seas were rough. By late afternoon couple of fish were in the box but we were looking for more.

We had located the stream and were on the edge of that cobalt blue water trolling back and forth across the temperature and color break. Moving along at slow speed we came up on a particularly large Manta Ray. From tip to tip her wing spread was easily 10 feet. They are an amazing creature and a stunning sight. They are nature's stealth, with their dark gray tops and glistening white underbelly. The big ray turned and spiraled down as we came up on her and the silhouette of her dark back quickly disappeared as she descended, but her white wing tips remained visible and so in a few memorable seconds a DNA-like helix of light spun down to a pinpoint and then disappeared. I was awestruck.

This message brought to you for the sole purpose of lightening up your day.

2. I used to live on New York Harbor, and the sunsets I'd see
looking out over the water, above Manhattan and New Jersey, were unbelievably beautiful (probably still are). I later found out that was partially due to the particulate pollution in the air, lol, but nevertheless, beautiful is beautiful.

K&R :)

7. Thanks.
My day started out brilliantly. Thirty beautiful miles on my bike in the beautiful, central OH countryside. I wish I could start every day like that. So peaceful.
