They're going after Hoffa's remarks because they're terrified of people fighting back
Edited on Tue Sep-06-11 11:21 AM by villager
There are more of us than them.

The ruling elites' biggest fear is that we realize that, and act accordingly.

Hence their media wind-up dolls dutifully disparaging Hoffa's remarks -- part of a pattern, you'll note, having to do with any "remarks," like Alan Grayson's, etc., that might stir people up, get them to "see," bind them in collective action against their fiduciary masters, et al.

It's no accident. Because what if somebody else picks up on Hoffa's remarks, and what if that kind of anti-GOP rhetoric becomes commonplace, in spite of their ownership of the airwaves?

Could be a kind of trouble they hadn't anticipated. And they don't like that.

1. Right on!! Right ON. What was Grayson's problem?? Weiners
problem??? Fearless enough to stand up to Bullies.

The Unions are different. They are not afraid to fight.

2. Yup, they are 'fried of the fight
I have the feeling we are very near the crossing of that point. Wisconsin showed them that people will fight back as well. The fight on SB5 is the same thing. THose are still peaceful. What really scares them is that people will conclude that there is little more than pikes... that truly scares them.

We are going to get there at the pace we are going.

5. And also because they know it works...
The Democrats will back down every time. At the slightest bit of confrontation.

Hoffa himself may not (as he should not). But watch. If this drum beat keeps up in the media for another day or so, any Democrat in a position of power will be falling all over themselves to see who can be the first and the loudest to apologize and condemn what Hoffa said.

Then we'll all be told "Well, it was the right thing to do. It was a distraction." Ignoring the fact that everything, always everywhere that involves a Democrat speaking the truth and standing up is always considered a distraction.

8. Bingo
Every time the Repugs demand that Dems apologize, recant, reject, repudiate, or otherwise disavow a statement made by them or someone in their general vicinity, the do so, without fail.

And that is one of the reasons we lose elections.

Remember what the Big Dog said? The people will vote for Strong and Wrong over Weak and Right every time.

14. Heard two different local RW hosts say
That Hoffa should be killed and buried with his father. I guess we won't hear much about those kind of statements.

17. As I said in another thread about the Italian
general strike: Workers of the world unite. You have nothing to lose, but your chains.

It needs to be world wide. We've ALL got to start coordinating actions in EVERY COUNTRY on the globe. Then we might see some fear. And out of fear will come concessions.

21. In THIS case...probably. But their constant "need" for apologies from Democrats is generally an
issue of control & public perception, particularly because the Republicans surely know they deserve anything the Democrats have thrown at them. The Democrats don't play their game of lies & perception; they've only had to speak the truth. So why apologize when the Republicans earned it?

23. They're terrified of the masses becoming united under a working
class banner. They're terrified of a class 'in itself' transforming into a class 'for itself'. And they should be. The fury of the masses, once engaged, will not be easily suppressed.
