I thought I read on DU that, in the immediate aftermath of the shootings, Palin had scrubbed her Facebook page to remove the gunsight graphic. Now, however, the graphic is available on Facebook ().
What's the story? Did Palin indeed remove it, and then, realizing that this only strengthened the case of those who were criticizing her for it, brazenly restore it? Or did someone just miss it on a search, and jump to the conclusion that it had been removed?
I'm embroiled in a heavy Wikipedia edit war about the whole incident. The Palinistas want to include Palin's entire statement saying she's against violence, but omit her "RELOAD!" tweet and much of the information about the gunsight graphic. I'd like to include the fact that she took it down (even if only briefly), provided that the statement can be cited to a reliable source. Any help anyone can give, especially with a citation, would be greatly appreciated.
