Rush Limbaugh called in to Washington Journal this morning....
regarding the fiscal crisis of the USPS. Here's his call-

Oh wait. I'm sorry his name is "Tom" from Wheaton, Illinois...

Hello, good morning. Ahh I just want to start by saying God Bless America. I love us all and I do want to leave a memory to those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center ahh and of course the Pentagon but ahh more than that I want to get to this postal thing. Umm I think bottom line, the beginning of it, what's going on in America today, fuel prices, okay? You drop fuel prices of course shipping and and moving these, moving the post office will not fully benefit. More than that, like the woman from California said, and if you've been in a post office lately they just don't care. They act like they're doing you a favor by you coming to them. The Post Office is a business just like any other. And they should run it correctly. These people just do not care. They're union employees, they got their jobs, they got their benefits and they just don't care. If they start losing their jobs, I think it's gonna attract their attention. But more than that, we really, we need to stop bashing all the millionaires in this, in this country. A millionaire pays my salary, not the guy down the street, not some little guy.

It's the millionaires, it's these big businesses that pay our salaries and actually employ the people of this country. So if we want to keep going around and just destroying these billionaires and millionaires and these entrepreneurs we're going to actually destroy our jobs.

......a call in response to the USPS fiscal crisis that could be averted by modifying the 2006 Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act by eliminating a pre-funding of future retiree health benefits provision and by reimbursing the USPS overpayment's into Federal Pension Funds.

2. Yeah, we've got to stop being so mean to millionaires in this country
Sure a millionaire pays this asshole's salary, with money he took from a bunch of "little guys".

3. Drink A Lifetime Of Kool-Aid And Stay Stuck On Stupid...
The fool only sees who signs the check, not who fills the orders or does the sales or makes the product or delivers it. He's afraid that if he pisses off the man who signs his check he won't get one. It's the product of 30 plus years of right wing talking points that are never questioned and adjusted to fit into everything. The ignorance is only matched by the arrogance...and there are millions of these people out there.

5. "Rush's" depiction of postal employees is just not true.
I sell on eBay and visit our local PO 2 or 3 times a week. NEVER have I encountered a rude, listless, or indifferent clerk. They may not smile (who does anymore?)but they are always courteous and they never rush you no matter how many other customers are waiting. And YOU STUPID REPUBLICAN PIECE OF GARBAGE what does being in a UNION have to do with it? OH, nevermind.

7. I agree with you
I don't sell on ebay but do buy on ebay and have a package that should be delivered this morning. It was mailed four days ago in Maryland. If it was being sent by ups or fedex it would be the later part of the week before It'd be delivered. Or the shipping would have cost much more if shipped by either of the other two. I'll take the usps any day.

"So if we want to keep going around and just destroying these billionaires and millionaires."

We are destroying billionaires and millionaires? Oh, we cruel working stiffs and our abuses toward millionaires. Have we no mercy?
