Conservative group ‘glitter bombed’ at Minnesota State Fair
Source: RawReplay
By Eric W. Dolan

A conservative group’s booth at the Minnesota State Fair the was hit with a “glitter bomb” on Sunday by opponents of a proposed same sex marriage ban in the state.

Four people on the SkyGlider ride threw rainbow glitter on Minnesota for Marriage’s booth as they passed over it, shouting “Equality for all.” The group is an umbrella organization that includes the Minnesota Family Council, the Minnesota Catholic Conference and the National Organization for Marriage (NOM).

Minnesota for Marriage has endorsed a constitutional amendment that would define marriage as solely between one man and one woman.

The state legislature passed the amendment in May, giving Minnesotans the chance to ratify or reject the proposed amendment in the 2012 elections.

1. They're probably worried
that glitter might make them gay. Better watch some football just to be safe.

2. I think they are more worried about gangs of
happily married gays roaming the streets at night and gang raping straight people, thus turning them into flaming homosexuals.

3. Missing from story: both groups (pro & anti-marriage amendment in 2012)...
were originally denied access to booths at the MN State Fair. They were told they were too late to register and try again next year.

So MN United for All Families abided by that decision.

Of course, MN "for Marriage" (one man/one woman, of course) managed to get in late. Like, 8/31 (when the Fair was midway thru its 12 day run, ending today). And then the Fair issued a statement saying, well, MN "for Marriage" had applied so they got in (not mentioning the part where both groups were originally denied access). So when people noticed the little shack with the bigots, the glitterati took notice.

I think the Fair needs to address this unfair (yeah, bad, I know) act on their part. I have no idea how many others get in late...seems like it's not normal.
