I would really like to know how many jobs have been sent overseas

in the past 10 years by American companies that either provide services or make products for the US.
Stated another way, how many (what should be US) jobs are being done in various other countries?

1. Most companies, corporation's won't won't report that data.
Probably don't want stockholders to know the true numbers.

2. By the way our midwest looks like a wasteland, I'd say almost 100% of manufacturing jobs have
I'd like to know the number too, but corporations in no way will report that, and the politicians (both Republican and Democrat) who cheered free trade on (and those who are cheering it on even today) CERTAINLY don't want those statistics exposed.

3. Between 15,000,000 and 25,000,000 would be my guess.
309,000,000 US jobs were "lost" between 1993 and 2002, according to a CATO study: (PDF)http://www.freetrade.org/pubs/briefs/tbp-019.pdf

They argue that some of these simply became obsolete, and to not worry because a similar number of jobs were created.

I think is we had laws that covered workers rights and the enviroment (not protectionist, just make other countries play on a level field), we would have record low unemployment.

20-25 million Americans could use a job, I think they are out there, being done by others to the delight of the owners of the businesses.

4. NPR had a story on that this morning
It seems companies are reluctant to make that information public.

8. You can get an idea from the loss of mfg. jobs.
Since 2000, we've lost 5,739,000 manufacturing jobs.

You can find just about any employment statistic you want at bls.gov
