The triumph of American propaganda...
Edited on Mon Sep-05-11 10:52 AM by kentuck
The propagandists have finally completed their mission. They have neutralized any opposing viewpoints that might challenge their corporate viewpoints and, at the same time, have sufficiently entertained and diverted Americans attention from matters that affect their lives. Many Americans are unaware of what is happening to Social Security, Medicare, jobs, wages, education, unions, etc.

These propagandists feel emboldened. They have their opposition and the American people just where they want them. Massive unemployment and low wages and an uneducated populace. They are rubbing their hands in glee at the thought of the money they are going to make as the ignorant masses struggle from day to day without any knowledge of what is about to happen to them.

Their health and security are threatened and many don't even know it. The American propagandists would put Joseph Goebels to shame. They are subtle and they are persistent. Through repetition, they are able to brainwash a large mass of the citizenry.

Those that oppose them are a minority with little power to compete. Even the Democratic Party has come under their spell in many places. Some Democrats have bought into their propaganda. They believe that a "global economy" will create more jobs for Americans, with all the contrary evidence staring them in the face. Many of them believe that unions were at fault for driving jobs out of this country. Many of them are ready to put the people's Social Security program on the table to be cut, at the request of the corporate propagandists.

America needs a period of enlightenment. They need to understand how they have been manipulated by these media conglomerates. They need politicians that will fight for them instead of the corporations. At the present time, it looks as if the propagandists are in total control.

3. OMG!
I should have mentioned that Bill Clinton signed the NAFTA bill and that many Democrats supported it and the idea of a global economy. But, I guess that would have been unfair in some way?

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the damn kitchen.

6. "America needs a period of enlightenment,
They need to understand how they have been manipulated by these media conglomerates".

I couldn't agree more!!!!

There is a movie which is in the process of being released in the US: "Programming The Nation?" A short video here:

Around 8:55 there is mention of something called "Harp" and the ionosphere and ELF waves...

Main page of this movie here:

Much better to forge a fight with acknowledged demons than invisible, confusing ones, IMO.

8. I think some folks have a problem with any criticism of Democrats..
No matter how true or how slight the criticism. In other words, they have a difficult time handling the truth.

12. It's that ego thing-because we’ve come to associate our very selves with our ego or point of view.
“Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary.
It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body.
It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.”
~ Winston Churchill

10. Propagandists and Hybrids
Frank Luntz and the Heritage Foundation and numerous right-wing corporatist think tanks have indeed dropped their propaganda leaflets across America and the world. Unfortunately, the operators behind them are not animal-human hybrids.

No, the operatives behind them are the global oligarchy, essentially a group of what you could even call "corporate-human hybrids."

Because, after all, corporations are people, right?

It really all makes sense when one understands, finally, that the uber rich prefer to treat people, not as humans, but as cattle. And then, of course, corporations need to be treated as people.

The pigs summed it up in Animal Farm. Everyone is equal, they said, but "some are more equal than others."

A tip of the hat to Edward Bernaise, the first man to call propaganda "public relations."

15. Seems like our choices are right wing rule under the Dems, or nutjob rightwing rule under the repubs
we do indeed in a time of reflection and enlightenment because both sides are very, very bad right now to the point where i wouldn't even call it a choice - both are so pro-corporate it's sickening.
