Two photos: Which man deserves to be prosecuted for harming the United States of America?
Photo 1: A former Mr. Popular with a whole lotta autograph seekers.

Photo 2: A former college cheerleader who stole his way into office and then lied America into unnecessary and disastrous wars that enriched his cronies.

Take your time. Then, ask yourself why we're helping hunt Mr. Popular and not even investigating Mr. Cheerleader?

If you'd like, please share your answers and thoughts.

1. Both should be prosecuted
But I'll let the Libyan people take care of their criminals and we should take care of ours.

After all, as the man said, it's their country and their oil.

10. True. But none are good...
...or valid. For instance, there's the Plame Affair:

George Bush, Traitor and Liar in Chief

12. I don't think there are justifiable reasons--but they are understandable.
Just the size of the net that would have to be cast over Washington is daunting. The investigations would lead down bad roads for both parties. Retaliation would follow. Just ugly. Not saying it shouldn't be done for that reason, but that it would be ugly, and become political.

24. I know. I feel there should be more punishment for fraudulently killing thousands of
our military, and decimating another country, and blowing trillions of dollars, than just low approval ratings.

13. Those two also deserve prosecution.
From way back:

Know your BFEE: Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ford Covered Up CIA Murder of American Scientist

No one prosecuted that whole rotten Watergate crew, thanks to Mr. Ford's pardon.

When was Gaddafi in Wasilla? Despite her movie, she does respect extractable natural energy resources:

He laughs as he says, "Money trumps (pause) peace."

Details, links, outrage, mass murder, treason, etc.

27. That still from the video is the exact moment he utters: ''Money trumps peace.''
It is the most loathesome thing I've ever heard an occupant of the Oval Office say. And the warmongering death-dealer-in-chief George W Bush laughs.

7. ? i think the issue is wht he has done within his country. so i guess
the question would be... which leader should be prosecuted as leaders of their country

the issue with gadaffi has nothing to do with u.s. but what he did with his citizens.

19. My issue is Gadaffi has done horrible things, true, but not against the USA. OTOH, Bush...
Has caused the needless deaths of 6,026 men and women in uniform and the wounding of many, many thousand more Americans.

Then, there is the fiscal damage to the nation, giving tax cuts to the rich during "war time", among other prosecutable things.

9. 2nd person has alot of fans still. Heck people in WW2 adored Hitler
Having fans doesn't make you innocent.

Really bad post and very bad comparison. Alot of people have died at the hands of Ghadaffi.

25. Comparisons are odious.
Unfortunately, people have forgotten the evil nature of modern governance.

Case in point:

George Herbert Walker Bush lied America into war.

In Iraq, as did his dim son later...

George Walker Bush lied America into war.

OTOH, Gadaffi never lied America into war. From what I can find, he had nothing to do with 9-11, either.

Reason for my OP: It is beyond a disgrace that neither Bush has been held responsible for the deaths of many thousand American service men and women, nor for the deaths of many hundreds of thousands Iraqis.

I am disgusted that Manning is behind bars while Cheney and his puppet are not.

15. And the interesting thing is it was Mr. Cheerleader who
made friends with Mr. Popular and offered him pretty much anything he wanted, like 'we'll forget that you are on our terror list' in return for access to your oil'.

I think Qadaffi used to call him 'My friend, Mr Boooosh'.

But as far as your question, Qadaffi is the Libyan people's problem. I don't know why we are always interfering in the business of other people. Eg, the Iraqis could have removed Saddam themselves if we had not stopped them and helped HIM many times.

As far as who was the biggest threat to World Peace, there is no question it was Mr. Cheerleader and most of the world agrees.

But why we aren't going after him? Because he was only doing his job for the real rulers of this country. Until we find out who they are and remove them from power, war criminals are very safe here in the US.
