What kind of person sports a "Don't Tread on Me" bumper sticker?
Edited on Sun Sep-04-11 04:23 PM by Stinky The Clown
I think it is exactly the same person who would wear an "I'm fucking stupid" sign around their neck.

On the way home today there was such a car. A ratted out Celica from who knows when with a white guy older and uglier than me in it.

The orange mambo was a wanker. Ledo's was the giveaway.

The ones I see with far right wing propaganda on their vehicles usually look like they are not the kind of people you would want to meet up with in a dark alley.

5. I drive past a "Don't Tread on Me" banner every day on the way to work.
I drive past a bunch of big estates on the Mainline in the Philly suburbs. (For those who don't know, the "Mainline" area is very wealthy.) One of them has that stupid banner, snake and all.

Yea, he's really being tread on. If he considers himself tread on, I'll gladly trade places with him.

64. Dems flew Gadsden and actually UNDERSTOOD its meaning. "Fuck You, King George!"
If the Teabaggers understood the Gadsden they would have been hoisting it after Bush invaded Iraq. Don't Tread on Me represented the US as being a nation that would never strike another nation first, but, would strike BACK with fatal precision (like a rattlesnake).

The flag is anti-EMPIRE, not anti-government.

to assume that anyone with the Gadsden Flag is a right wing nut...it is, after all, an important flag in American history. Perhaps that old man you saw was a retired Marine. I know a couple of retired Marines personally who are far from right wing nuts that own this flag.

FUCK that. The fact that they co-opted it along with the whole absurd "tea party" reference is bad enough, the fact that after 200+ years of history on it's meaning should be flushed down the toilet and believing we should think of it now only in THEIR terms and that anyone that doesn't must be a tea party asshole is FAR worse. That's exactly what they want, and here you are helping them along.

Robyn O'Brien shares her personal story and how it inspired her current path as a "Real Food" activist. Grounded in a successful Wall Street career that was more interested in food as good business than good-for-you, this mother of four was shaken awake by the dangerous allergic reaction of one of her children to a "typical" breakfast. Her mission to unearth the cause revealed more about the food industry than she could stomach, and impelled her to share her findings with others. Informative and inspiring.

Reneging on Gardasil mandate in the Lone-Star State is an admission of guilt and should not be forgiven or forgotten.

RLog (Press Release) – Aug 22, 2011 – According to VAERS analyst and SANE Vax team member Janny Stokvis, Governor Rick Perry should have been aware and taken action on the mounting injuries from Gardasil in Texas before an attempt to mandate the vaccine.

Once he told me that on Halloween, black children were bussed into his neighborhood when he lived in California. He said they got all the candy and the white kids hardly got any!!
I asked him where you would get buses for something like that.
He got all flustered and repeated that the white kids missed out on the candy.

44. This is why Democrats lose these days --
Complaining about a "don't tread on me" bumper sticker? Totally understandable -- the Teabaggers are highly annoying in their brain-dead way -- so when I clicked on your OP, I was totally on your side --

But then when you lay into your invective against them, what do you say?

"A ratted out Celica from who knows when with a white guy older and uglier than me in it" --

As Steve Martin used to say, "exCUUUUUse me!" --- :eyes:

Let me apologize that most of us in this great country of ours have to drive around in low-rent vehicles like Celicas -- "ratted out" even -- how tacky! -- yeah, although we live in the best facsimile of the Depression after 80 damn years, still, we should all have more class, and drive new, well-maintained, "respectable" vehicles.

And let me also apologize about the fact that a lot of us may be white, and a lot of us may be old, and a lot of us may be ugly.

Can you say "liberal elitist?" I know you can!

This is why Democrats lose these days. The average person doesn't see the Democrats as the champions of the common man (as they should) but rather as a bunch of iPad-owning, arugula-eating, neo-snobby douchebags.

I'm Just Sayin'!

he's driving a "ratted out" old Celica and still supporting the very ones who are making it harder for people to buy newer better anything, because they are oppressing the working class. The teabaggers are supporting the corporations/politicians that got us in this mess in the first place.
If you would bother to read the many many ops on this board, you would see that is the problem most dems have with the teabaggers. If being educated about politics and the real masters behind the right wing, is elitist, I guess we are pretty much guilty then.
