2. "a fish storm"? I have never heard that term
meaning that it will stay out at sea and just disturb the fish?

8. The one big worry is that conditions may be pushing everything West
in a few days.
DUers are watching and prepared so we will continue to watch and hope it's a fish storm.

13. My worry is that the ridge builds back in and causes her to pull an Andrew.
Andrew started to recurve, then got shoved back west into Florida.

Fortunately the models are not indicating that happening.

17. If you are on a boat - yep
That is 5-10 percent of getting any wind really on land. This thing is going to do a big u-turn.

9. A very cold wind came across the Rockies last night...
and can sometimes create havoc to the East. Whether or not it might affect the jet stream, I do not know. The temperature got down to the upper 40's last night. Very cool this morning.

12. She's a smaller storm than Irene, that means she can intensify faster.
smaller storms have a tighter pressure gradient than large storms, and so don't need as low pressures for strong winds.

15. Irene is the reason she hasn't strengthened yet
She churned up the Atlantic so it wasn't as warm as when Irene passed through.
