The counterfeit culture - useful observations for understanding why collapse is inevitable

Through a devolving web of greed, self-serving power and a departure from fundamental ethics, Western culture has, over the last hundred years, become the counterfeit culture.

Nothing is real anymore -- not the food, not the money, and certainly not the evening news. And because it's not real, it's not sustainable. That's why it's headed for collapse, which is all too real, as many people are about to find out.

In the mean time, here are some observations about the counterfeit culture in which we all frustratingly find ourselves. It's all about corporations, governments and institutions being "in the business of" counterfeiting something -- faking something or pretending to create something of value when they really aren't. Ring a bell?

Seriously, that guy is as insane, dumb and extreme as the worst of the tea-party...his unspoken assertion that he's liberal just makes him our mentally-ill idiot extremist. Further, taking the economics arguments of Ron Paul and wrapping them in a liberal flag doesn't make them any less ignorant of economics or any more correct. Being anti-science is beyond the pale in modern society. I particularly liked this unattributed summary-citation of Harvey Mansfield's core-polemic: "Mainstream historians are in the business of counterfeiting history. (Everything you were taught about history in public school is a lie...)". Of course, Mansfield was arguing that conservatives write their own world history since objectively-factual multifocal multicultural history refuted their ideology...core to that effort was discrediting mainstream-history as the artifice of ideologue-historians pushing an agenda.

The first rule of identifying a charlatan: They claim everybody but them is lying to you.
The second rule: They claim that everybody but them is part of a vast conspiratorial institutional-evil.
The third rule: They state important-sounding absurdities and gibberish as fact when the evidentary-facts don't conform to their pitched-worldview.
The fourth rule: They make grand scandalous claims which they then abandon without ever providing evidence of their claim.

Mike Adams is a charlatan. QED. This article should be scrubbed as from a non-credible source.

Rhetorical exaggeration which could have been done much better, and the whole counterfeit argument misses the point - but not by much.

I find the "logic" quite absurd, that if Ron Paul agrees with the view that modern central bankin system and fiat currency based on debt and interest is very unsound and one of the main reasons to our troubles, then by the the guilt of association with Ron Paul, all criticism towards Federal Reserve and fiat currency must be invalid.
