Republicans' Strategy: Block, Stall, and Scuttle.
The Party of No loves its little slogans, doesn't it? Cut, cap, and balance. Repeal and replace. Well, here's an expression to hang around the Republicans' necks going forward:

Block, stall, and scuttle.

The blocking is simple enough to explain: During GOP administrations, Republican senators want an up-or-down vote for the president's candidates, but not so for Democratic presidents.

Stalling: See debt ceiling fiasco and subsequent downgrading of the U.S.'s rating.

Scuttling: What the GOP's actions do to the recovery.

Block, stall, scuttle. I dare them to put that in an ad or on a sign.
