"...And man, were my arms tired", LOL.

Oh well, have to target something else, I guess!

1. Stupidest motherfucker to ever lead an industrialized nation
We're likely to get another one even stupider thanks to the "let the country fall so we can start rebuilding it" crowd.

2. Right
It wouldn't be fair to blame any Democratic politicians. Criticizing them is pretty much the same thing as working for the Rick Perry campaign.

:sarcasm:

3. Right
We are so far down in the hole that we need to quit digging and begin standing on each others shoulders to get ourselves up and out. We can't stand on each others shoulders if we are stabbing them first, eh?

4. Americans were too paranoid.....
Edited on Sun Sep-04-11 03:19 AM by murphyj87
Americans were too paranoid to let American aircraft land in the United States, so they had to land in a nation which we has rational citizens, so all of those American aircraft landed in Canada. If those aircraft were supposedly so dangerous, why did they all land without incident in Canada? This is yet one more example of how paranoid and irrational Americans are.

16. Ummmm...which American aircraft?
Are you under the impression that EVERY SINGLE commercial aircraft flying over North America that day was forced to land in Canada?

All of them?

Because that is NOT what happened. Sure, Gander Newfoundland was overwhelmed by transatlantic flights that were diverted as well as a few other Canadian airports, but the vast majority of American commercial flights in the air that day landed at airports in the US.

14. Indeed. Nice to see this mentioned.
I assumed this tidbit of history had disappeared forever down the memory hole.

12. That movie is one of my guilty pleasures.
The ending is ridiculous but the build-up to it is good.

10. Then when we let all the Bin Laden family take a CIA flight back to Saudi
Edited on Sun Sep-04-11 08:23 AM by sfpcjock
the next day, without even letting the FBI interview the relatives of the stated guilty party it started to stink. So, like on day two.

The fact that Bush himself looks like the cat that swallowed the rat to any normal person, notwithstanding.

Like, how did Bush "know that they were the last plane flying?" Were there, um... not the usual number of near misses on Airforce One that day? :eyes:

13. Sure, the National Geographic Channel was picked for an interview

recently with the Bushster about 9/11.

I was going to add: "as I flew around I realized that Cheney had shut down the Whitehouse communication center and sent me to voicemail" -- another revelation that surfaced recently from Cheney book, I think, that Bush's plane got sent to voicemail every time he tried to call the Situation Room in the Whitehouse.

15. Thanks -- I do remember seeing something about the Nat Geo
interview coming up, and thinking how nice that aWol has been given such a long period of time to construct "remembering" what happened.

============================================
"Bush's plane got sent to voicemail every time he tried to call the Situation Room in the White House."
============================================

Is this supposed to be true? Has Cheney now abandoned all pretense that aWol had anything whatever to do with actually running the country while Cheney was VP???

And dang, here I was expecting Cheney's book to explain in detail what happened to all those millions of dollars shrink-wrapped on pallets that disappeared into Iraq -- but I hear he covered Iraq in two pages, so I suppose that explanation got edited out. Somehow.

Not made up :) It's either in the Nat Geo piece or in Bush's book. Cheney's book says something else about the voicemail (of course).
