Sarah Palin is wrong but she kinda sounded coherent. Like she could put
several ideas together and stake out a claim in that vast rightwing field. Who is advising her? Rove?

1. I think if they can get an alcoholic below average jerk like George Bush elected...
...then Palin is a possibility.

4. No way. I hope she runs, wins the nomination then faces Obama. He'd destroy her.

6. She spoke for people who don't want crony capitalism and corporate
welfare. I count 2 (yes 2) ideas strung together in a somewhat coherent fashion. There is a new member of her team obviously. I'm curious to find out who it is.

9. Those are the ideas she purported to stand for when was governor.

It worked for her here, but we were naive and uninformed. I wouldn't trust her with this kind of talk after the way she's behaved over the past couple of years.

I think if she had stuck to the script she was using when she was governor (at least her public script) she could have been a real threat. Her mistake was making her private life public for all to see, and it wasn't pretty.

5. The Greedhead Wing of the Republican party would never allow her to get the nomination.
The only reason they ran Junior in 2000 was because they knew Cheney could control him.

7. And name identification.

Same way RayGun got so many votes. The not too bright voters knew they heard
the name somewhere before so they figured he must be worth their vote.
Katherine Harris and Diebold took it from there.

10. You mean like when she said stuff like this...
“There is a name for this,” Palin said. “It’s called corporate crony capitalism. It’s not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk. No, this is the capitalism of connections and government bailouts and handouts…and influence peddling and corporate welfare.” (Source: some earlier post on DU, so who knows if it's accurate? Sorry, don't have the link.)

That sounds reasonable to me...and I loathe Palin.

So far, that is the only quote I've seen from her appearance earlier today.

I'm sure the rest of her speechifyin' was mostly incoherent/unintelligible.

12. When Sarah Palin takes a shit
does she wipe her ass with her left hand or right hand?

Serious question.

When Sister Sarah is pinching a stinky loaf, you know, sitting bare-ass on the john putting out a shit log, she has to wipe ass afterwards. Left hand or right hand?

Does she fart when she shits? I wonder.

Not trynig to be partisan, of course, since everyone, left and right, takes a shit at least once a day. But since everything about this clown's life is sooooooo important to the media, perhaps someone like Hannity could report on this pressing issue.

Inquiring minds (and dickheads like me) want to know!

Ask a teabagger.........heh-heh that should prove interesting!

14. It doesn't matter. If she didn't last 20 months as governor of Alaska (pop 700K),
she probably couldn't last 7 weeks as mayor of NY city (pop 8000K) and wouldn't last 2 days as president of the US (pop 300000K)

then you might have put your finger on it.

I saw quite a bit of her speech last night and I noticed she couldn't take her eyes off of the prepared written speech.
As if, she hadn't written it herself, and didn't know what was in it.
Sort of like how she was back in 2008 when she sounded surprised when she came to the end of a sentence that was supposed to be asked as a question, but that she had read as a statement.

It was an amazingly boring speech.
Really hard to sit through after hearing most of her "ideas" expressed better by other candidates for the last 3 years.

I don't think she is going to run.
I think it would be political suicide if she threw her hat in the ring now.
She just waited too damn long.

16. Exactly. She didn't "feel" that speech.
She practically read the stupid thing the whole way through. If you believe in something you should be able to step up and say it from your heart.
