Why the hell is the media paying so much attention to Sarah Palin?
I understand why teabaggers love her, because they're a bunch of fucking idiots. But why does the media focus so much attention on her? Wouldn't it be nice if her cavalcade of lunacy pulled up in some city, and there were no media gathered to salivate over her every word?

Going off on another tangent, if Palin looked like Kay Bailey Hutchinson, would the teabaggers and media be so infatuated with her?

1. Because she's white, vapid, and says outrageous things.
That's like the trifecta for cable news ratings.

3. Because they refuse to cover anything that President Obama is
doing that is right. They can't do that because it goes against their narative.

5. Same reason people
watch Kim Kardashian or Michael Sheen. It's like that gaper's block that slows down the entire freeway whenever there is an accident or someone pulled over. Gotta watch to see if there is anything worth watching.

And no, Sarah Palin would be nothing without her looks. Nothing, nada, zip, zilch. She's just another shiny object that has captured the attention of people who aren't that bright to begin with.

6. The Media searches for Conflict. This is their theme as they
look for story. Also the Republican Primary
is ongoing. The Democrats do not have a Primary.

Right now they are focusing on Palin to see what
is going to happen. Is she going to endorse??
Is she going to tun herself. How is she responding
to Bachman and Perry now that appear to be overtaking
her among the TeaPariers.

Palin is a Celebrity--she gets attention.

12. It's a dull holiday weekend!
I heard fox didn't even carry her talk today. CNN and CSPAN did, but from what I saw the crowd was pretty small. I think here "charm" is wearing off, and a fox poll says 71% of republicans DON'T want her to run.

18. Why are you paying so much attention to corporate media?
The media does it because the same handfull of people who own the media benifit from the teabag message. They are all rich, the people on the T.V are all rich. Most of their shills on the radio are all rich and your government "representatives" are all rich. They, unlike the rest of us, are just looking out for their best interest.

So the real question is, why are you giving them creedence by wasting your time listening to them?

Surely you have figured out by now that they don't give a flying fuck about you. I suggest you adopt the same attitude toward them.

22. No, it'sactually much worse that that. To the best of my knowledge
it started when Cheveron and ADM started to buy up space on NPR. Suddenly, there was no more reporting about the oil companies or Frankin food on NPR. NPR was simply not willing to jepordise their funding by reporting the facts. Today, I heard an add for fracking on NPR. Simply speaking, they have been bought and you can no longer trust them. Actually, anyone who has been listening for more than a few years has picked up the right wing slant NPR has adopted. But... it's even worse than that. Turn on Randi, Ed, Norman, etc and what do you hear? Almost the entire show is re hashing right wing talking points! I never hear Nancy, Barbra, or anybody from even the supposid center saying ANYTHING! All I ever hear is Rush, Eric, Boner, etc. Hour after hour, even on so called "progressive" radio, all I ever hear is rightweing vomit.

At this point, I have turned most of it off and, like the smart people in Germany in the 30's, I have made sure my passport is still valid cause, I swear to God, if someone like GWPerry becomes president, I'm outta here. In fact, if the current version of Obama becomes president, I may still be outta here.
