It has been ten years of the big lie when big tax cuts don't cause deficits and big trust funds do. Where government openly admits to us they have misspent and squandered our money and then tell us brazenly that we must pay for their misdeeds while they lavish even more treasure upon those attendee's to Caligula's orgy.

That is in its purest form what fascism is all about, a Capitalist orgy. It means that criminals are not arrested for their actual crimes but only for who they are. Julian Assuage is a political prisoner as he violated the privacy of the wealthy and powerful. Bradley Manning is a truth criminal and Dick Cheney is a war criminal one is languishing in jail while the other is not.

Try thirty years?

Our current deficits can be traced to the cut taxes, borrow and spend practices of the Reagen administration.

Of course the "borrow and spend was not part of the rhetoric, but it was part of the practice--and it yielded short term results the the Republicans would never have let any Democratic President reap.

But there was and is a long term cost, and it caught up with us with the October 2008 capital freeze up, and its still with us.

Much--not all--of the spending can be justified, but that is beside the point of, and beyond the scope of this comment.


What cannot be rationally justified is the continued rhetoric that tax cuts promote the economy. Granted, to a limited extent they do, but the costs of the cuts from a purely revenue based perspective began to exceed the benefits in about 1982, and things have gotten much worse since that time.
