Tea Party in Iowa - pics
Edited on Sat Sep-03-11 02:01 PM by Kadie
Tea Party of America in Indianola, Iowa September 3, 2011. Doesn't look like a very big crowd.

1. Looks like Iowans had something better to do on Labor Day
weekend than listen to the half-Governor and her usual putrid spiel.

2. as someone who made a frame to hold a 2'X4' sign I can tell you
that the handle on it needs to be over 6' long. Trying to hold up something that big is way to much effort for any period of time.

That guy in the top pic is just to stupid to plan ahead. Wood would (hehe) also be to heavy. Mine is made from 1" PVC and is tall enough to be above my head even when the bottom of the handle is touching the ground.

*Note* It seems polite to turn these things sideways when in a crowd and there is a speaker on stage. It blocks the view of to many people.

Silly tea partier, all that work and still getting it wrong. A perfect microcosm.

14. Thats why you need to switch to a translucent fabric for your signs.
Lighter plus views are not blocked.

5. Damn! How did the guy in the last pic find such a prime spot?
He must have had to elbow his way through .....singles of people!

And the guy wearing the Holstein patterned ball cap......ya gotta love it.
He wants to talk to the New York Post, I want to talk to his wife and find out why she lets him off their property in that fucking hat.

One more thing.....I am willing to bet a $20 donation to DU that the lady with the big-ass Sarah cut out dresses that damned thing like an oversized paper doll.

Safest bet I'll make all year.

8. "Socialism sucks" but don't you dare touch MY Social Security.
If stupidity were fatal, there would be no such thing as a tea party.

10. "Sarah Is A Wiener"? That's not very nice.
Once again, a promising teabagger event is co-opted by an insufficient number of PortaPotties. Sad.
