major Atlanta hospital ends dialysis for uninsured immigrants - cites budget issues
http://www.ajc.com/news/dialysis-patients-lose-access-1153917.html

"Since closing its dialysis unit, the hospital has spent more than $2 million on patients’ treatment, a cost it can no longer bear, Grady spokesman Matt Gove said. The hospital’s financial situation has deteriorated this year, forcing it to cut more than 200 jobs and close two neighborhood clinics.

Grady offered Fresenius $270,000 to continue caring for the patients for a year, but the offer was rejected, Gove said. The hospital is no longer licensed to provide outpatient dialysis services but will still treat patients who come to the ER."

2. AND we all know a trip to the ER is so much more expensive, they have to treat,
and a person who is uninsured is less likely to be able to pay for their bill... Essentially, they are killing people off. If the illegal immigrant is afraid to use the ER, and they need dialysis, are they going to go or are they going to die in their bed at home? Sick country indeed. And closing clinics is the more expensive alternative. How much does a bomb cost again?

Funny how we only care about the plight of illegal immigrants. We really do put them above the poor people born and stuck in this country.
