I find it discouraging that Obama is starting to pull back on environmental protection in an effort to appease business. Many business entities are saying regulation is preventing them from hiring new workers. Most people know this is not really the case given the corporations are sitting on almost 2 trillion dollars. Actually it's a lack of demand for goods and services that is preventing hiring.
Having said all that, businesses are the ones that need to hire in order to bring the U.S. economy back. If they say regulation is what is preventing this, is it really a bad strategy by Obama to halt some regulation and put the responsibility on business to prove what they are saying is actually true? Sometimes it's better to make things more transparent to help arrive at a better outcome.
