It is a great post containing an interview with Dr. John Harte, climate scientist at UC Berkeley.

I took a class from him and want you folks to know that he is The Man in my book. (So is John Holdren, same department, same period, and he was great too). If you have a chance to hear him speak or take a bit of time to read his research, I think you will agree that he is a reasonable and brilliant man. He was also way ahead of his time, studying the effects of climate change on alpine species when I took his class, and for decades after.

He has written a book on what we can do about this mess and posted it for free download on the UC Berkeley Energy Resources Group site. If you are interested in the department, the ERG site is http://erg.berkeley.edu/

Dr. Harte's book is here : http://www.cooltheearth.us/download.php#

Thanks all, thanks Hissyspit.
