Tea party Republican Joe Walsh plans to boycott President Obama's jobs speech
byJed Lewison

It's not just that tea party Republicans won't work with President Obama to get a jobs bill passed, now they're openly mocking him:

Just a thought ... Oh, btw, why don't you make it a one-way ticket as well?

for his children's needs.

This con artist's 15 minutes of fame are going to be shorter than most. I think he looked around and saw all these Tea Party extremists getting so much publicity, and thought, "Hey, I can do that and get out of town at the same time".

5. Republican childishness has no limits--don't mitigate this by labeling him Tea Party
Edited on Thu Sep-01-11 03:57 PM by Supersedeas
This is a coordinated Republican effort to embarrass this President.

From Justice Roberts' 'flub' of the oath of office to the latest episode with scheduling a speech before Congress, the Republican as a group have been hell bent as a 'corporate body' to marginalize the duly elected executive of this country.

This is not just another Tea Party antic...but part of a Republic narrative that began with John Roberts and the oath of office.

31. Small point, but Roberts flub was more embarrassing for him than for Obama.
Showed him to be both lacking in knowledge of something in the Constitution and arrogant and stubborn, given his refusal to have the written oath with him.

Obama corrected him once during the oath, but then they both fell apart on it. Seriously, they both should have had it memorized. It's not that long or hard.

However, since it's Robert's day job, not the President's, to know the Constitution AND to administer the Presidential oath, he made himself look a lot worse than Obama.

He demonstrated that he had the intelligence of a cricket and the decency of a maggot when he yelled "Liar". Write him off. If we are lucky he will contract some incurable painful disease from one of his prostitutes and be gone.

Joe Walsh is the problem, not part of the solution, and he's proud of that.
The Eagles guitar player should sue him for defamation of character unless he changes his name.

32. Raise your hand if you think anyone at the joint session is going to miss Walsh.
This is a distraction from our sub par media.

Our children have been getting killed abroad for almost a decade. When was the last time we had daily news reports about any war?

People are committing suicide over the economy, as well as over military service.

And this is the kind of irrelevancy our corporate media serves up to us on a regular basis.
