No, seriously... He really does have his defenders/fan club here. It will take a bit more than seeing him appear nauseous in a yellow slicker on a boat in the Potomac or ocean swells to convince me that he has anything to offer. Feel sorry his Dad died--certainly. But, given the scores of highly qualified candidates for his job, I can not feel sorry for criticizing him for having been no more than a silver spoon appointment.

If he wants to earn some respect, perhaps he could start by learning those most critical historical references that any REAL journalist in that position should know. His attempts to bluff around more competent (and knowledgeable reporters) is just horrifically cringe-worthy, particularly given his penchance for condescension towards his audience...
