boehner looks like the small man in date moving...
it shows he cares more about politics than jobs

it also shows he has little or no respect for the President

3. He simply reinvigorated his base by forcing Obama to bow down to him.
We may hate this; but I'm sure the Rs are loving Boehner now.

8. He showes that the President is proving who is really in charge.
An national address vs 24 people vying for a Presidential bid 6 months before the first contest?

Now, airing at 5pm PST before a 6:30 PST season opener in the NFL?

This was a game and Obama showed his priorities.

9. Looks to me like he called the shots again and the spin is on
but it does not play. The guy who got what he wanted is called the winner in politics. This is not a contest to be the Most Gracious Gentleman.

10. I wish I could get your religion
But religion and politics don't mix and your faith-based belief has no place in it. lol

15. A week after the speech
No one will care. And I mean about the speech itself, not just the scheduling issues.

16. He and his party will look even smaller during the speech
They will roll their eyes, grimace, refuse to clap and generally display contempt and a lack of respect for our president. They continually demonstrate that they favor party over country. They will work had to act smaller than they have to date. This garbage will continue until they are tossed out in the next election.

18. Nothing prevents Obama from giving the speech on the 7th.
The only change would be no studio audience.

19. Looks like the White House made a scheduling snafu -
- as the debate has been scheduled for months and months. Not something you can undo at this point. And we wouldn't be happy were the situation reversed, either.

I've also read that there were other considerations, including security. Seems to me that this is being spun up a bit.
