It’s Now or Never - Tell Congressman Boehner to “Get Serious” About Jobs!
The President of the United States asked Tea Partied House Speaker Boehner to address a Joint Session of Congress on July 7th in order to present a Jobs Plan and House Speaker Boehner, ONCE AGAIN, disrespected the OFFICE of the Presidency by denying the President’s request. Boehner CLAIMS that the request must be delayed because it would “interfere with logistical parliamentary procedures”. Several months ago, The Huffington Post reported that the current House of Representatives is the “least productive in history”. So what possible “logistical parliamentary procedures” can Boehner be talking about?

Speaker Boehner constantly states that “the President needs to present a plan and get serious about jobs”. So, why is Boehner delaying the President’s opportunity to respond to that request?

Under Boehner’s leadership, the Tea Partied House majority has NOT PASSED one jobs creation bill. Congressional records indicate that Boehner’s Tea Partied House majority has passed” 50” bills, the “lowest number of bills in 15 years”. Those bills pertained to CUTTING government funding for JOBS PROGRAMS, education, Medicare, Social Security, health care reform, services for the elderly, the unemployed, and the poor, college student PELL grants, cancer detection services for women, preventive health care services for children, and infants; bills relating to diluting Wall Street regulations that protect consumers; bills legalizing the carrying of guns on trains, on buses, in National Parks, and in bars, and the institution of parliamentary procedures to BLOCK the President’s nominations for the head of the Consumer Protection Bureau, the head of Homeland Security, and state judgeships.

Boehner’s CONSTANT disrespect for the Office of the Presidency AND the greater good of the American people is an OUTRAGE. Contact Speaker Boehner with the following message:

“Speaker Boehner, get serious about jobs. Allow the President to speak before the Joint Session of Congress on July 7th!”

One final thought, it would be great if the Congressional Minority Caucus , Progressive Caucus, and Black Caucus rally forces to join in our fight for the President’s Jobs Plan. The Tea Partied Republican House Representatives’ blockage of everything and anything the President proposes to uplift the American people must end. Together we can!
