Ed Schultz was outstanding on tonights TV.
He discussed the plight of the people, hurt by the hurricane back East, and the contrast of what the Democrats would do to help, with the lack of concern by the Republicans. He discussed Dick Cheney, with his absolute denial of any responsibility for his involvement in starting the war in Iraq. Ed ended his show with an interview with a retired teacher in Fresno, California, who is donating three years of his salary to help students in that area. This was a fitting end to the TV program, to show that concerned citizens can do more then the greed displayed by members of the tea party.

1. wish Ed could see what we did in MInneapolis tonight
over a 200 of us protested the continued policies by our President.

the corp media didn't even show any of our protests and the local progressive stations except KFAI refused to announce it.

I hope ed checks his email and see and talks about our protest yesterday

Minneapolis, MN – More than 200 protesters met President Obama outside the Convention Center here, Aug. 30, where he spoke to a gathering of the American Legion. The demonstration was initiated by the Minnesota Committee to Stop FBI Repression and endorsed by a wide range of local progressive organizations.
Last fall, five Twin Cities homes and the offices of the Anti-War Committee were raided by the FBI as part of the Department of Justice attack on anti-war activists.
Jess Sundin, one of the raided activists, said, “In his address to the American Legion, the president sought support for his policies of war. Outside the hall, protesters, including organizations of veterans and military families whose voices exposed the human costs of these wars, not only on the people of Afghanistan or Iraq, but also on the troops sent to fight these wars.”

2. You should be protesting outside a GOP house member's office
You're picking the wrong targets.

3. we do that also,, and we protest outside of the DFL Senators and Reps who vote to fund the wars
and no Obama is the correct target. He is the President who has decided continue to bomb other countries.. I think are now up to 5.
He is the one who said lets not investigate those who authored, ordered and participated in torture. who has also decided to keep Guantanamo open.

Who doesn't meet with Veterans who oppose the wars and occupations.

Who has continued to allow the FBI and Justice Dept to target peace and other activists.

and who has not stopped the Keystone pipeline from moving forward.

etc.. etc.. etc.

4. Please stop posting misinformation.
It was Congress/Pelosi that took the investigation of Bush/Cheney/etc off the table.
It was Congress that defunded the move of the Gitmo detainees, and it was Congress that obstructed the funding for the Federal Prison that Obama wanted upgraded in Illinois to house the detainees, and it was Congress that passed a bill that said that the Gitmo detainees can not be moved to US soil.
President Obama meets with veterans and military families quite often.
And President Obama has NOT yet weighed in on the Keystone pipeline issue.

5. Pelosi is the one that said to move forward and decided to advise the DOJ appropriately?
I thought she was just responsible for "taking impeachment off the table" and did not know she had more power than the president over the DOJ.

That is one powerful lady, maybe she should be president.
