I may be just one of those evil atheists, but I thought one of the key features of the Gospels is that people *do* owe poor people help. ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, ... For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink...Whatever you did not for the least of these you did not for me.'

This is not in Texas, but depressingly in Ottawa, from which I would have hoped for something better.

7. Yeah, you just don't get the better sort (i.e., rich) people at food banks.
I mean, why do the poor have to hog so much of the food banks' distribution?
