Tea Party Congressman Joe Walsh Owes 9 Years Of Child Support

http://www.buzzflash.net/story.php?id=1783375

Well, it turns out that the Tea Party Congressman who got elected preaching fiscal responsibility is fiscally irresponsible AND morally bankrupt. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Walsh owes 9 years worth of child support which comes out to an astonishing $117,000. While Walsh claims that he won’t place one more dollar of debt of our kids, he has placed $117,000 worth of debt on his own kids. Before getting elected, he had told Laura Walsh that because he was out of work or between jobs, he could not make child support payments. So she was surprised to read in his congressional campaign disclosures that he was earning enough money to loan his campaign $35,000.

what a creep

and his kids know he is a creep of a father

1. They know where he is, so why isn't he in the slammer until he pays arrearage?

2. CongressGOPers know they can lie, cheat & steal with impunity
and not have to face consequences for their actions. They are admired all the more for "getting away with it". SCUMBAG.

4. Better would be to garnish his Congressional salary.
He'd be up to date on that arrearage in no time.

I wonder if that can be done, legally?

8. His congressional paycheck has been garnished and he's gotten a lot of deserved grief over it.
He was my congressman until the dems in Springfield re-districted.

I attended a number of his Town Halls...He's a mighty asshole.

22. Yes, I know....He's a flaming asshole...He beat a blue dog of three terms by less than 300 votes.

I've been to three of his town halls as the "loyal opposition" you might say,

and believe me, only the strongest sense of democratic "duty"

has allowed me to endure.:eyes:

First, he starts every meeting with a cloying display

of hyper patriotism, having everyone stand and recite

the "Pledge of Allegiance...He then begins a very

animated monologue of Tea Party Talking points.

It lasts about 40 minutes and it is ONLY after all that,

that he allows people get a chance to ask questions or make comments.

Luckily for me, I've been redistricted out of his CD and won't

have to sit through this dog and pony show anymore

12. he was redistricted...
if he runs he`ll be up against my congresscritter in the soon to be old 14th.

since illinois was redistricted it seems the best thing we can do is make sure the democrats get elected to these new districts.

16. I think Hultgren would win if Walsh decides to fight for this seat.
I am not sure what the make-up is of our new district. I was told it is now less purple, more red. Ugh!

14. He has also been taking his girlfriend on overseas trips
during the time that he just couldn't afford to send his kids a few bucks.

He perfectly exemplifies the moral squalor of the teabaggers, doesn't he?

24. Because the linked article is misleading
The linked item (from addictinginfo.org via BuzzFlash) seems to be based on a Chicago Sun-Times story from earlier this month, which reported on allegations by Walsh's ex-wife. Walsh denied the allegations. The statement "it turns out" implies that her allegations have been established as fact. Last I heard, however, there'd been no adjudication of the matter.

Even a sleazeball like Walsh is entitled to his day in court and to the benefit of the presumption of innocence.

Of course, if I had to bet one side or the other, without more detailed information, I'd bet that Mr. Walsh will be writing a check at some point.

that may have contributed to his stance on the default, that NEVER got any coverage.

These fucking Republicans just skate through and the rules don't apply to them. :grr:
