Tim Russert's entitled child looks like a fucking yellow lollipop
But that's better than him standing in the Cannon HOB's second floor rotunda imitating a real reporter.

1. I'll never understand the vitriol and hatred directed at Luke Russert.
Okay, so he got into TV news because his father was in it. How can that be any worse than any of the regular news channel bobbleheads who get hired because they look good on camera and can read a script?

3. It does seem a tad pit petty, doesn't it?
When he says or does something stupid, I can understand calling him out on it....but reporting on a tropical storm? Geez, I've seen a dozen threads here today telling us how shitty he is. He's no different than most of these people who are props for reporting on the current weather conditions.

8. I don't understand it either, the constant whinning really comes across
as petty, childish and bitter. Who you know and who you are related to is standard in the world of movies, TV and the news. Grow up and get over it, geesh.

12. The entitlement factor
What is he, 16?

Sorry, but there are a lot of seasoned journalists that would love a shot at cable news. Luke barely had a drivers license when he was hired as a "correspondent".

23. Luke Russert is 26 years old not 16.
Sure there are seasoned reporters but who you know and who you're related to is just the way it is in most businesses, especially TV but other businesses too. Is it fair ... probably not but that's reality. No point in letting it get to a person. Actually that's the way with most things, someone works at a place and tells a friend or relative theres an opening. The one goes down for the job and lets the person know who they know or who they're related to. They get the job before anyone (possibly more qualified) even knows about it. Happens all the time, it's better not to let it make you bitter and resentful for your sake.

Your point is lost in the very simplistic and sophomoric "you are just jealous" analyses in this thread.

Happily Rushbo agrees with them!

of Luke Russert or the talentless offspring of anyone else who rides to fame and fortune, because of their last name.

Luke: "One of the things they are worried about here is the water." Well, duh.

Me: "One of the other things they might be worried about in Alexandria, VA is the wind."

I came up with that one all on my own. I'm a natural!

And I would do it for a whole lot less money than they're paying him...without the raincoat even.;-)

One of the biggest problems we have is the lack of honest, hardworking, genuine JOURNALISTS digging for- and reporting- the news. L'il Luke is not a journalist. He is not a reporter. He is not a newsman. He is the poster putz for everything that is wrong with modern news media.

No more. At least not a group of 30-50 year old "professionals" that looked perplexed when I used it in a group setting 5 years ago. I was stunned and I was among the 30ish year olds at the time.

I suppose a group of people on the "interweb" with a simple search can look it up before saying "I know what it means!". I doubt 50% really do. A lot of liars online.

an MSNBCialis

If his hands were tied, he would be tongue-tied.

His most profound remark was for people not to go outside because they could have a tree fall on them.

And if there were no hurricane tonight, people would be partying from where he is reporting.
