Now that Politicians are resigning in Arizona because of Intimidation
does that mean that we will see and hear even more of that type of rhetoric? When Republicans say "The Tree of Liberty needs to be watered" or that they will employ "2nd Amendment Remedies" what does a "reasonable" person believe they mean? They are trying to intimidate, plain and simple...and it worked...They tell people guns will be used if they don't get what they want, and low and behold politicians are gunned down. Many politicians begin to believe Republicans meant what they say...They allow the intimidation to succeed and quit their elected office.. Now that Republicans see it is working there is no way in Hell they will stop.. If something works you can bet Republicans will continue using it no matter how vile it actually might be..I fear this assassination attempt will soon be followed up with something even more dastardly..No Republican has stepped forward and condemned such intimidating language..NONE so it will continue..

2. The purpose of poltical violence is to achieve the aims that
you can't get from other means. In a democratic system, this means getting what you can't get from elections. Since Republicans represent the interests of a small minority of Americans, it is natural that they would turn to violence, electoral fraud, and mass-media deception to get what they want. Naturally, their leaders don't want to get their owns hands dirty and want to be able to maintain plausible deniability, so they use coded rhetoric to stir up the ignorant and unbalanced, knowing that it will lead to violence. It doesn't matter who is the victim, really, since the purpose is to create and atmosphere in which liberals will be afraid to operate openly. It works well for them so it will continue. Perhaps we should start calling it, and the rhetoric that encourages it, exactly what it is: terrorism.

3. It's terrorism, pure and simple.
It's not just intimidation. It's terrorism.
