John Dean rips Cheney’s memoir: It displays his ‘authoritarian personality’
Source: RawReplay
By Eric W. Dolan

John Dean, former Nixon White House Counsel and author, blasted former Vice President Dick Cheney’s memoir In My Time on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

“He is a classic authoritarian personality,” he told Olbermann on Thursday night. “We are seeing it in his book. He certainly demonstrated it as vice president.”

“And while he can set rules for others, he has his own rules, and he can’t see any hypocrisy in what he is doing.”

In his book, Cheney reportedly attacks former Secretary of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice.

1. One of the most irritating things about authoritarians is that they will
never take blame for anything. They not only delegate, but they assume that the person they delegate to will understand that they will take the blame if anything goes wrong.

2. That's why they become authoritarian.
They can always deflect to others below or above them. At the very highest levels, they are never responsible because the problem is below their level. At lower levels, they are never responsible because they were just following orders.

Boasting a record-setting five (5) military deferments because -- in his words -- he "had other priorities" such as war profiteering.

So many chickenhawk republicons. Sigh.
