alcohol is far, FAR more dangerous to society in health issues and deaths caused per year than marijuana.

3. This is the cartels.

These guys have NO respect for the land and the environment. They cut down trees, they introduce herbicides, insecticides and pesticides into the ecosystem and they completely trash the area in the process. We have this problem in the Sierra-Nevada. Our local sheriff is on a jihad against MM growers and they use the raids in the National Forests to assert that this is what ALL growers do and we, therefore, must have new county/city ordinances that ban growing pot outdoors and that's exactly what they did. (Not that anyone is taking it seriously as this county is so broke it can't afford to run the eye-in-the-sky except on the weekends in high-crime-rate areas but it's all a nuisance nonetheless.)

4. MODERATION in all things. Alcohol is not "bad" at all--too much of it will fuck you up, though.

Same with herbs that one smokes, and that includes tobacco. For people with postural hypotension, nicotine from tobacco that has not been f'd with is a good thing--in MODERATION.

The trick is to not use anything so much that one becomes habituated or addicted to it.
