I live in a cesspool of repukes.
I live in The Villages in FL and everyday it is in your face that this is repuke land. This morning when I opened the daily repuke rag, the front page has a huge announcement that Fox and Friends, with the 3 stooges, will be broadcasting from here on Sept. 19. When I turned to the next page, there is another announcement that Christine O'Donnell will be at Barnes and Nobel to hawk her book. ARRRRGGGGG!!!

10. My Suggestion
Nationalize your FaceBook list. I argued with most of my local friends, here in Mobile, Alabama for a long time. Finally I just started reaching out to others, and found the country as a whole not such a bad thing. I keep hoping the truth will out, but it seems like the South has moved backward, and the southern strategy practiced by republicans has worked very well. The damage to our country by them picking up the mantle of racism, dropped by the Democrats is unmeasurable.

But then, without promotion of other differences, black/white, white Hipanic, hetero-homosexual, Arab/American divisions, they can't keep the real war hidden, the attack by the very rich, on everyone's salaries, benefits, and livelihoods.

13. I don't do politics on FB
As a part time entertainer I use FB to help promote my band. I have people in my friends list that have been coming to see me perform for 20+ years around here and I can't afford to alienate them. They believe what they believe and the same for me. The fact that they show up and spend money where we play keeps the guys and I working. :)

2. Can't argue with that one.

If you're retired and you don't have to live there maybe the southeast coast of the state will be more to your liking. Like Palm Beach and Broward counties. Not too many retublicans there.

15. Can you IMAGINE spending money for a book O'Donnell had written for her?
To me, that is the very definition of a "waste of money"!

5. I live in Morris County NJ, it's so red you can't wear blue clothes.
I stopped putting my DU bumper stickers on since they just get ripped off or defaced.

14. there's a few good Democrats in Morris County
I met them at the state's convention this year. It's a long-term project but I believe you can make inroads in Morris County.

I live in the county that took a 30 point right turn from 2008 to 2009 (Monmouth) and it's just as bad. We have our Democratic pockets but they don't turn out to vote.

7. The Villages --- Sarah Failin's favorite Florida destination.

I'd rather perform my own root canal than live in The Villages. It's bad enough here in Polk County.

11. Friend of mine retired to The Villages
She & hubby are good Dems and had no idea of the political climate. Soon after they moved in, they were warned to removed their Obama stickers from the cars unless they wanted them keyed.

17. Tell your friends that there are two Democratic Clubs
in The Villages and are very active. The one from Sumter County sponsored Alan Grayson a couple of weeks ago. A couple of months ago, (P)rick Scott came to The Villages to sign one of his bills in the Town Square. About 20 members of the Dem Club were removed because they were told it was a "private signing." How can it be private when he is suppose to be the Gov of all of FL? The Dem members were not even making any kind of disturbance. The only reason they were identified was because they all were wearing dark blue shirts with the name of the club on the back. So much for Democracy in Florida.
