So, the earthquake was centered just to the south and east of here

We're pretty close to the center of today's quake. When we came back to the house this evening shit was strewn everywhere. Books and papers were scattered all over the floor, stuff was misplaced and thrown around every nook and cranny - just like yesterday.

I often ask drop-in guests if they heard about the tornado. When they look puzzled and ask, "What tornado?" I say, "It didn't hit your house?"
