Kansas College Suspends Its Golfers For Dongish Facebook Photo

Bethany College men's golf team has been suspended from three tournaments because of a team picture.

Golf coach Jon Daniels says all 15 members of the men's team were involved in taking a picture on a hilltop with nothing on. The men posed with the head of their golf club covering their private parts. The picture was then posted on facebook with the title Men's Bethany Golf Team. The coach says the boys were inspired by pictures of the UCLA men's players who posed with a bucket of golf balls in front of their private parts. Those pictures were published in the magazine Golf Digest and Sports Illustrated.

Daniels says he talked to the boys about upholding the reputation of the Lutheran college and the golf team. He suspended the team from playing in three tournaments.

Team captain Jack Hiscock tells KAKE News it was just a bit of fun that got blown out of proportion.

I remember a similar prank at a local college (Harvey Mudd in Claremont, CA) where a bunch of young men did a similar thing, only with slide rules...

I think there was a picture then too.

I don't believe that it was published anywhere, though...
