head shot 1 By: CNN Producer Gabriella Schwarz

(CNN) - The 100th anniversary of the late President Ronald Reagan's birth is getting the football treatment in September, with teams across the country kicking off their games by flipping a Reagan Centennial Commemorative Coin.

Games played during the weekend of September 23 through 26 will commence with the coin flip, followed by a loudspeaker announcement and Reagan football tribute video, according to the Reagan foundation. Reagan was born on February 6, 1911.

SO WHAT! He liked football...big damn deal. He never did anything for football except tell some stories about his playing days that turned out to be fiction. Why don't they honor with stuff he really did stuff for like:

AIDS Quilts - if Ronnie had not ignored this epidemic there would not be so many quilts

A stronger Iran - Ronnie did a nice job of making sure they had only the best weapons

The national debt crisis - he's kind of it's "Founding Father"

PLEASE ADD SOME YOUR FAVORITE REAGAN ACCOMPLISHMENTS
